The volunteers made great contributions to the success of the Suzhou Jinji Lake Half Marathon. Their timely, considerate services won them high praise from both the runners and the spectators.
Wang Xing, one of the volunteers, arrived at the venue just after 7:00 am, and then held up a sign with “Ask me for advice” to guide the runners into the venue, with a smile on his face in the whole process.
Wang said he had received systematic training and would do his utmost to support the runners. He hoped that he could become a runner in the event next time.
There was also a first aid team consisting of 100 members who started their training for the event on Mar 1. During the event, they worked in groups at 10 aid stations. Besides, Suzhou Dushu Lake Hospital and Suzhou (SIP) Kowloon Hospital opened green channels for emergency rescue.
